~ Red Thread gallery debut ~

I am extremely lucky to be living in a large 2-bedroom apartment on the hill all by myself (temporarily)~
What to do with all this space? I decided to create a "home base" for Ghost Gallery, called Red Thread (which is my operating business name)...
The main idea behind this is to have art exhibit "previews" in my home, before the exhibit moves on to another venue. Why? Mainly, I have witnessed many people admire artwork that is hanging in a gallery, but then say: "I just can't picture it on my own walls...I'm not sure how it would work in my house, etc..."

I want to provide art buyers & appreciators with an actual example of how you can bring original artwork inside your home, and have it work with your existing environment. Doesn't that sound nice? Especially this time of year...hint hint. Art gifts!

Events at Red Thread will not be open to the public (yet), but will be invite-based, to give the artists' contacts (and our own) another new "gallery" experience. This will also prepare the road towards an off-location Red Thread in the future!

I will post pictures after the first opening, which is this Saturday, Nov.22nd...
April Brimers' "Portraits of Curiosity" was recently at McLeod Residence, and is moving to Last Waltz Boutique in January~ Until then, it will be available at Red Thread!

just became a subscriber to your blog - very excited to read about your idea of doing art showings in your living space - it's a great idea! i look forward to finally making it out to an event, now that i am home for a while. i hope you're well and enjoying the winter weather. in other words, i hope that you aren't slipping on the ice and breaking bones. - damien
